Our Hollyhock seed mix is a blend of pink and white perennials reaching average heights of 5-7, or sometimes 10-12 ft with rich soil and ample water. These single flowers in charming pinks and whites attract bees, butterflies, and birds. Known for their adaptability, these hardy plants persist until early winter and return each spring.

Here's a good article from Epic Gardening. "Just as crusaders treated their horses with the flowers, growers might treat topical skin abrasions with them. The flower can also be made into a lovely medicinal tea that is reputed to treat the respiratory and digestive tracts. The flower stalks are a great addition to a summer flower bouquet too."

When to Sow Outside: RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date, or 2 months before your average first fall frost date.
When to Start Inside: 6 to 8 weeks before your average last frost date. Roots are sensitive to disturbance; sow in biodegradable pots that can be planted in the ground.
